CEO and president of Evergreen Enterprises will be Executive-in-Residence speakers Tuesday, Feb. 9 - Canceled

Frank Qiu and Ting Xu, the CEO and president of Evergreen Enterprises of Richmond, one of the leading designers, manufacturers and marketers of garden and home décor, will be Executive-in-Residence speakers Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. in Hiner Auditorium.

The husband and wife team, natives of Shanghai, China, began in a garage in 1991 when Xu and her parents created flags to sell at the Virginia State Fair. Today the company offers more than 8,000 products and has a sales force covering all 50 states, serving more than 14,000 independent retailers and 200 large chains. Qiu, an assistant professor in a major think-tank in Shanghai before joining his then-fiancée in Virginia in 1987, was the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Virginia in 2000.
