Reflections on Sustainability: A Conference for Students, March 18-20 at Longwood University
March 18, 2010 - March 20, 2010
Towards A Culture With A Conscience: Reflections on Sustainability, a student-oriented conference focusing on environmental stewardship, economic development, and social justice, will be held March 18-20.
On Thursday, March 18, the conference keynote address will be presented by Jerry Greenfield, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's. The lecture will be followed by an ice cream social. On Friday, March 19, the evening musical guest is Plastic Musik, an abstract percussion show that combines innovative instrumentation with high energy, unpredictable theatrics.
Conference fee: $28 (includes lunches). $10 for high school students; no charge for teachers escorting students; Longwood faculty/staff/students may attend all speakers at no charge.
