Longwood teams up with Walmart, Lancer merchandise now available

Longwood University Athletics and Wal-Mart have recently teamed-up to create a “Lancer Country” section in the Farmville store, which features Lancer apparel and merchandise. A special promotion will take place at the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Thursday, August 21, from 1-3 p.m. with appearances by the Longwood Women’s Soccer team and head coach Todd Dyer.  For more information, please call Longwood Athletics at 395.2057.

“Wal-Mart is a major retail center within the Farmville area and we are excited about this opportunity,” said Troy Austin, Longwood Director of Athletics.  “We see this as the beginning of a long relationship.”

There will be giveaways of Longwood fall sports posters and schedule cards along with a drawing box for customers to sign-up for three grand prizes to be given away at halftime of the season-opening women’s soccer match against Liberty University on Friday, August 22, at 7 p.m..  First prize is a $100 Wal-Mart Gift Card; second prize is two (2) Season Tickets for Men’s and Women’s Basketball; and third prize is Wal-Mart Lancer gear.
