Longwood teams up with Walmart, Lancer merchandise now available
Members of the women's soccer team, along with head coach Todd Dyer, '93, were among the first visitors to Walmart's new Lancer Country.
Longwood University Athletics and Wal-Mart have recently teamed-up to create a “Lancer Country” section in the Farmville store, which features Lancer apparel and merchandise. A special promotion will take place at the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Thursday, August 21, from 1-3 p.m. with appearances by the Longwood Women’s Soccer team and head coach Todd Dyer. “Wal-Mart is a major retail center within the Farmville area and we are excited about this opportunity,” said Troy Austin, Longwood Director of Athletics. “We see this as the beginning of a long relationship.”
There will be giveaways of Longwood fall sports posters and schedule cards along with a drawing box for customers to sign-up for three grand prizes to be given away at halftime of the season-opening women’s soccer match against Liberty University on Friday, August 22, at 7 p.m.. First prize is a $100 Wal-Mart Gift Card; second prize is two (2) Season Tickets for Men’s and Women’s Basketball; and third prize is Wal-Mart Lancer gear.
