Dr. Chuck Ross to discuss "The History of the War and Technology"

Dr. Chuck Ross
Dr. Chuck Ross, dean of the Cook-Cole College of Arts and Sciences, will participate in a panel discussion about "The History of the War and Technology"on Wednesday, September 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. at The Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond. Dr. Ross, along with Dr. Kelly DeVries of Loyola University, will present their research on Civil War battlefield technologies and the broader historical and geographic impact of these advances.
The panel discussion is part of a six-week public lecture series that explores the science and technology of the Civil War. The series is sponsored by The University of South Carolina Citizens' School for Science and Technology in partnership with the Museum of the Confederacy and the VCU Science, Technology, and Society lecture series.
