An op-ed by Katie Register, executive director of Longwood's Clean Virginia Waterways, appears in today's (9.1.11) Richmond Times-Dispatch. "Clean Oceans Start with Clean Streets" outlines measures that everyone can take to keep litter out of the ocean. Katie has been researching aquatic trash for 17 years.
