Longwood's driver education program featured in news segment on WSET-13

Longwood University's driver education program is featured in a news segment about texting and driving that appeared on WSET-13 (ABC, Lynchburg) on Tuesday, Feb. 21. Ken Frederick, Academy of Driving instructor, who assists Longwood's Dr. Vonnie Colvin with the driver education endorsement course, is interviewed. Longwood is one of only three universities in the state that offers driver education endorsement. About 65 percent of Longwood's physical and health education and teacher education (PHETE) graduates earn the endorsement which increases their marketability as they pursue employment.
