Longwood Professor Dr. Deborah Welch talks to media about anniversary of Titanic tragedy

Dr. Deborah Welch, professor of history, was a guest on Newsradio 1140AM WRVA (Richmond) Friday, April 13, to discuss the 100th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic with the show's host, Jimmy Barrett. She is also quoted in the April 11 editions of the Edmonton Journal and the Vancouver Sun in a special section titled "Titanic - 100 Years Later." Dr. Welch is the primary source for the article "Titanic Tales: Women's voices missing from history of disaster."
On Monday, April 16 at 7 p.m. in Wygal Auditorium, Dr. Welch will present a talk titled "It was Sad When That Great Ship Went Down" for the Faculty Colloquium Series. For more information about the lecture, visit:
