Dr. Raymond Cormier has written articles that have appeared recently in three journals

Dr. Raymond Cormier, Vistiting Professor of French, has written articles that have appeared recently in three journals. His article “Conventiculum Bostoniensis,” about a Latin seminar he attended at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in August, appears in the Winter 2007-08 issue (p. 8) of The Newsletter of the Classical Association of Virginia. His article “Pagan versus Christian Values in the Roman d’Eneas” appears in the 2007 issue (pp. 68-85) of Medievalia et Humanistica, No. 33: Studies in Medieval and Renaissance Culture. Hisarticle “The Shoulders Fagles Stands On: Repossessing Dido” appears in Volume 73 (2007), pp. 38-42, of Translation Review. This is an analysis of several lines of Virgil’s Latin Aeneid as interpreted by 16 translators, from John Dryden (1697) to Robert Fagles (2006).
