November 17, 2009
The Camerata Singers, Longwood's premier choral ensemble, will present a concert Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Farmville United Methodist Church (on the corner of High and Randolph streets). The 35-voice chamber choir, directed by Dr. Ryan Hebert, assistant professor and director of choral music, will present a variety of choral music of master composers such as Alessandro Scarlatti, Anton Bruckner, and Johannes Brahms. The choir also will perform contemporary works including a set of madrigals by Emma Lou Diemer, comic love songs by Paul Sjolund and other accompanied and a cappella works.
