A live interactive webcast of Gail Collins, a columnist with The New York Times, speaking on "When Everything Changed: A Look at Changes in the Lives of American Women Over the Past 50 Years" will be shown Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in Greenwood Library 147.
The talk, funded by the Office of the Provost through Academic Affairs and presented by the Women's & Gender Studies program, is part of a series of webinars sponsored by The New York Times. Supplemental materials will be available before the event on the Women's & Gender Studies research guide on the Greenwood Library web site. Collins, who in 2001 became the first female editor of the Times' editorial page, has since July 2007 written a twice-weekly column that covers American politics and other current events in a humorous or satirical light. She is the author of several books, including When Everything Changed: The Amazing Journey of American Women from 1960 to the Present, published Oct. 14, 2009.
