A groundbreaking ceremony for the Bedford Hall addition and renovation project will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 4 p.m. in front of Bedford. Afterward, a reception will be held in the Greenwood Library Atrium in which architectural drawings will be on display.

The project, expected to be completed by late summer 2012, will more than triple the size of the building and will result in a vastly different appearance both outside and inside. The addition will expand the building on its north side, toward and behind Wygal (the parking lot behind Wygal will be removed), and will extend the front of Bedford toward Brock Commons. Once the addition is complete, the renovation of the current building will be undertaken. Bedford has housed the art department since opening in 1970.
