Up the Yangtze, a critically acclaimed documentary about life in 21st century China, will be shown Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. in the LCVA lower level, in the General Education Film Series. The 2007 film, which has been called “dramatic and disquieting,” is set against the backdrop of the controversial Three Gorges Dam, the world’s largest hydroelectric dam that is being built on the Yangtze River.
