January 26, 2009
The second annual French Film Festival will begin Monday, Jan. 26, with Flight of the Red Balloon. Thanks to a grant from the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Ministry of Culture, all five films are free and open to the public. All are at 7 p.m. and are in Hull Auditorium except for Two Days in Paris, on Feb. 18, which is in Chichester G12. The other films are Molière on Feb. 3, Persepolis on Feb. 11, and The Duchess of Langeais on Feb. 23. DVDs of the all the films will be available in the Library after the festival, which is co-sponsored by the Department of English and Modern Languages, the General Education Film Series, and the Office of Multicultural Affairs. For more information, visit www.longwood.edu/filmfestival, or contact Dr. Wade Edwards at 395-2181 or edwardswa@longwood.edu.
