The David Esleck Trio will perform Sunday, Feb. 22
February 22, 2009
The David Esleck Jazz Trio will perform Sunday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. in Molnar Recital Hall in Wygal. The trio consists of Esleck, a pianist who has taught music appreciation as an adjunct for Longwood's music department since 2006, and prominent Richmond-area musicians Michael Hawkins (acoustic bass) and drummer Keith Willingham. The program will consist of jazz standards and original compositions. This will be the trio's third performance at Longwood. Esleck, who has taught courses in jazz and classical music at Virginia State University and the University of Richmond for years, appeared as guest soloist with Longwood's Jazz Ensemble A in October 2008.
