John O'Brien (violin) and Julie Adrijeski (harpsichord) will present a Chamber Music Series concert on Feb. 26
February 26, 2009
The O'Brien/Andrijeski Baroque Duo will present a Chamber Music Series concert Thursday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Molnar Recital Hall in Wygal. Dr. John O'Brien (harpsichord), professor of piano and co-director of the Early Music Ensemble at East Carolina University, has performed throughout the southeast as soloist and chamber musician. For this program, he will play a French Double Harpsichord and continuo organ. Julie Andrijeski (violin), a renowned Baroque violinist, directs the Case/CIM Baroque Orchestra at Case Western Reserve University, where she also teaches performance courses in music and dance. The duo's concert, the fourth program in this year's Chamber Music Series, will feature works by Handel, Bach, Scarlatti and Pachelbel, among others.
