Debra Davis, executive director of the Gender Education Center, will give a presentation on transgender issues Thursday, March 19, at 7 p.m. in Jeffers Auditorium, as part of Women's History Month. Davis is a transwoman, and the Gender Education Center is a Minnesota-based advocacy and education organization working toward understanding, acceptance and support of the LGBT communities with an emphasis on differently gendered people. The program is being presented by the Unity Alliance for "Proud to be Out Week" with support from the Women's & Gender Studies (WGS) program and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
