    Faculty:                                             Teaching; full-time or adjunct.  

   Administrative & Professional:          Supervisory; Contract.            

   Classified:                                          Full-time with state benefits.   

   Wage:                                                 Part-time; hourly; no benefits.

   Emergency/Temporary:                     Full or part-time; hourly; no benefits; 
                                                         
     assignment for a period of less than six months.

EMERGENCY STAFFING

A pool of applications for on-call work assignments is on file in the Employment Services Office. Temporary employment -- administrative, clerical, or trades related – is available. Please contact Lisa Mooney at 2952 or by email at humres@longwood.edu for further assistance or information.

HOW TO APPLY    

For Faculty positions:  Faculty openings are advertised in the Chronicle of Higher Education and on HigherEdJobs.com.  Click HERE to see current listings.  Application requirements are noted in each advertisement.  Address cover letters Search Committee for the recruiting department.  Mail to address listed above.

For Administrative and Professional positions:  Administrative and Professional positions require a letter of interest, resume, and contact information for references.  Mail application materials to address listed in the vacancy announcement.

For Classified and Wage positions:  A completed Commonwealth of Virginia employment application is required. In addition to the application, you may submit a resume and/or supporting documents to evaluate your skills, training, education, etc. A copy of your application  materials may be faxed to 434.395.2666 to meet the deadline.  However, original materials must follow by U.S. mail or can be personally delivered to the HR suite.  State guidelines require our office to have a Commonwealth of Virginia employment application containing an original signature on file. Applications must be received in our office by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline.  Mail the Commonwealth of Virginia employment application to: Human Resources, Longwood University, 201 High Street, Lancaster 212A, Farmville, VA  23909.

For Emergency/Temporary positions: A Commonwealth of Virginia employment application must be completed. When actually employed, a New Hire Packet of Information must be completed.
