Have you ever wanted to look for journal articles AND books from a single search box? The Greenwood Library invites you to try our newest product, EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) “one-stop”,
.
What is
?
A single interface to search most of the Library's electronic and print collections: books, articles, and more. In addition, One Search:
- Provides users with a seamless search experience
- Uses the EBSCOhost search platform and offers familiar EBSCOhost features
- Searches all EBSCOhost databases, JSTOR and several other journal collections
- Includes many but not all of the Library's electronic books
- Searches the Library's catalog, including CDs & DVDs
Please Note:
- One Search does not search all of the Library's resources.
- Not everything in One Search is full text.
- For any Library catalog item, you can access its local catalog record to find out more by clicking the "Check Library Catalog" link.
- Refer to the Library's Learning Commons Service Desk with any questions about your search. We'd be pleased to assist you.
How do I access
?
- If you are on campus, simply search and your results will be displayed immediately.
- If you are off campus, enter search terms in One Search box and you will be directed to authenticate with your LancerNet ID and password (for LU students, faculty/staff only).
- If you are not affiliated with LU, use the "Guest Access" link below the search box to search only the Library catalog within the
interface or search the traditional Library catalog.
How do I search?
No search syntax is required, however you can choose to:
- Search phrases in quotes
- Use “AND” to combine two concepts
- Use “OR” to include synonyms
- Use parentheses to nest your terms
- Use a* to truncate your terms
