Borrowing Multimedia Equipment
The Multimedia Lab is located in Rooms 147 and 148 on the first floor of the Janet D. Greenwood Library. The Multimedia Lab offers computer hardware and software for the development of digital graphic, audio, and video content. The equipment and software are available to all students, faculty, and staff of Longwood University.
The Multimedia Lab has 6 flatbed scanners, 8 MacPro's with multimedia card readers, Internet access and full production software. This software includes: Adobe Creative Suite, Macromedia StudioMX, Microsoft Office, Final Cut Express, and Toast. The Multimedia Lab has a light table and a negative reader for slides and drafting. The Multimedia Lab also has a green screen area for video production.
The lab is open during the regular Library hours (excluding holidays, breaks and summer hours). See the Library Hours page for details on Library opening and closing times and dates.
The Multimedia Lab is staffed by student technical consultants during selected hours each semester. If Multimedia Lab staff are not available, please go to the Learning Commons Desk. Assistance in use of equipment and software in the Multimedia Lab is limited when Multimedia Staff are not available.
