Education Practicum Abroad
in Spain
(EDUC 370:  3 credits)

Info Meetings for Summer 2010 Practica:

  For Future Teachers in all Disciplines

Spend 3 weeks with a teacher abroad, helping with all the duties your teacher carries out each day.  Your duties will include helping to provide small-group instruction or testing, creating bulletin boards, grading papers, attending parent-teacher meetings and faculty meetings, and more.  All classes and communications at the schools are in English.  The programs may include weekend visits to nearby sites of interest.

Important Pre-Departure Dates and Procedures (Fall 2009):

November 18		Practicum Application, Study Abroad Application, Health Report, essay, recommendations due
November 30		Notification of acceptance by e-mail
December 1	4:30  Ruffner 256	Mandatory meeting of all those accepted *note* All meetings are mandatory and will form part of your grade* $650 deposit due to the Office of Cashiering, Lancaster 201A *note* Take your $500 deposit and your Study Abroad Payment Form to Cashiering.  They will not accept payment without this form and the account number already written on it.* **Account Number: 81166 needs to be written on the Payment Form each time you make a payment.**

May		You will receive a bill for tuition, according to customary procedure.
