Study Abroad United Kingdom University of Plymouth One-for-One Exchange Program:
Longwood, in affiliation with the University of Plymouth,
England, is pleased to announce its semester or one year one-for-one student exchange program.
Who is eligible:
This exchange program is open to Longwood University students in
the following majors: History, Political Science, English, Theater.
Prerequisites include: a minimum grade-point average of 2.5 or better
and completion of one academic year.
University Information:
Situated on the gateway between Devon and Cornwall, Plymouth is a city

Fees:
Students pay Longwood tuition, room and board, and other
fees. Students do not pay any tuition, room or board fees to the University of
Plymouth. Students are responsible for books and other fees, however.
Housing:
The University of Plymouth provides university managed residence halls. Meal
plans are not customary in British universities. However, a stipend will be
provided for your meals. To apply for university housing, you will
complete the application you will receive upon acceptance to the program.

Travel:
Roundtrip airfare is not included in the cost of the program. Students are
responsible for making their own travel arrangements. Students accepted to
this program are eligible for the Semester Study Abroad Scholarship, which will
help with travel costs.Dates:
It is preferable that students attend the spring semester as there is no lapse
between the end of classes and the beginning of exams. Student attending the
fall semester have to make arrangements to take their exams in January after
they return home in December. For specific details,

Required Orientation Program:
There is a required Orientation Program each fall
semester, and an induction/enrolment programme offered by the Faculty of Arts in
the spring semester. It is compulsory to attend the orienation/induction
programme, since important information will be given which you will need during
your stay at the University of Plymouth. It is also an opportunity to meet
other students and to get to know the university and the city. You will
receive information on the programme with your acceptance packet.

You must submit a Longwood University Study Abroad
Application, Health Form, Recommendation Forms, etc., as well as the
University of
Plymouth Application Form. Submit ALL forms to the Office of
