Each year, Longwood students make a great trek north to the frozen Alaskan landscape to study how pipelines affect climate change, wildlife and the people who live there. The transdisciplinary program, offered as one of several Brock Experiences, allows students to visit the vast oil fields of northern Alaska and take a boat into the frigid Arctic Ocean waters to study the environmental, economic and political implications of pipelines.
