Information & Resources

Students who are registered with the Accessibility Resources Office (ARO) and have appropriate testing accommodation may use the testing center.   

The Testing Center is located in the ARO, Brock Hall. The Assistant Director of Accessibility Resources and student staff members manage the center.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Resources include, but are not limited to:

  • 8 distraction-reduced rooms for testing administration
  • 15 computer learning stations and, including 4 MACs
  • Assistive Technology Software (Text-to-Speech, Enlargement, Word-to-Text software, and CCTV)
  • Calculators, Paper, Patty Paper, Periodic Tables, Pens, Pencils, Spell Checkers

All testing rooms are monitored by ARO staff members and cameras.

Purpose of Testing Accommodation

Testing accommodations are intended to provide registered students with disabilities an equal opportunity as their peers to reflect the knowledge they have gained during the particular course of study. Testing accommodations are accessed, not success based. Any questions regarding the testing center and accommodations should be directed to x2391.

Only accommodations that are listed in their "accommodations letter" that is provided to the instructor at the beginning of the semester will be given. Also, please know that extended time accommodations are based off the standard administration time that is listed on the red form. Unlimited time is not a reasonable accommodation unless it is granted to the entire class.
