The upcoming Vice Presidential Debate on October 4 is one of the most unique opportunities for Longwood in our storied history. Our university will take center stage this fall, and we wanted to match the moment with a beverage that was truly representative of the rich history of Longwood and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
This spring Longwood partnered with Brothers Brewing Company in Harrisonburg to create a custom craft beer that everyone could love this fall. The result? "Grain of Truth", a truly bi-partisan beer.
A Vice Presidential debate highlighting the cornerstones of our democracy, held at one of America's oldest and respected educational institutions, featuring a beer to bring us all together? That's a Grain of Truth we can all get behind.
Brothers describe "Grain of Truth" as "an oatmeal stout that celebrates not only our political differences, but also our common ground. The most obvious our love of craft beer, of course. Grain of Truth features nutty and grainy oats combining with malty, sweet flavor to create a blend of refined chocolate, coffee, and cream. There's something for everyone, from lager and porter lovers to hopheads alike. Grain of Truth is truly a bi-partisan beer.
How can I enjoy Grain of Truth?
