Do you work in the homeland security field or know someone who does? Current senior Chaniece Williams is an aspiring refugee officer who is graduating this May and would love your advice about finding her start in this industry!

Along with her involvement on campus and busy schedule, Chaniece is quickly approaching the end of her college career. She is currently majoring in political science with a minor in homeland security.

Chaniece is passionate about pursuing a career in the Department of Homeland Security, specifically dealing with immigration. Her familiarity with the process of becoming a legal citizen of the United States and her deep understanding of how difficult it can be, made her eager to begin her career and make an impact on the lives of struggling parents and children.

Chaniece is highly involved on campus and is part of many clubs, including the Student Educators for Active Leadership (S.E.A.L.), Hispanic Latino Association, Pre-Law Club, Sign Language Club, MLK Service Challenge, Longwood University Big Event, and Longwood University Relay for Life. In addition, Chaniece also serves as Vice President of Global Leaders, the National Society of Leadership and Success, and the Upchurch University Center Advisory Board all while serving campus as a justice on the Honor and Conduct Board. Lastly, Chaniece is involved in the Farmville community by volunteering at FACES, Farmville’s local food pantry.

Consider connecting with Chaniece on LinkedIn to share your advice about job or internship opportunities.
