The name “Lickinghole” derives from the noun, which means a stream and a rill that had great minerals that animals seeked out, which made a ‘licking hole?’ Located outside of Richmond in the small county of Goochland, the Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery is a place where you can experiment with different flavors of beer that was handcrafted by the people who run it.

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is a place where families can spend the day touring the museum. Richmond has a beach? Well not exactly, NorthBank Park, or Texas Beach, is a trail here in Richmond is family-friendly and is a great spot for you if you want to escape the chaos of the city. Located right on the James River, you are able to walk on trails, fish, bike, snorkel,  and much more.
