The College of Business and Economics recently made some exciting changes to their Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) program and want our alumni to be the first to hear about them. Whether you’re looking to accelerate your current career or start a new one, Longwood's MBA degree will prepare you to make managerial decisions and to lead people.

If you had to describe the MBA program here at Longwood in one sentence what would that be?

Our online MBA program has been designed to provide our students with maximum flexibility and will prepare you for making managerial decisions and leading people.

After graduation where have alumni gone with their new degree?

  • Corporate Controller/Director of Accounting
  • Healthcare Director
  • Project Manager
  • Marketing Director
  • CEO
  • Engineer Manager/Director
  • Business Analyst

How does the new MBA format fit into the lives of already busy professionals?

We had busy professionals on the forefront of our minds while making changes to our program. All of the courses are taught online, we’ve reduced the credit requirement to 31 which has reduced the time to complete the program, and we’ve reduced the cost by eliminating the MBA fees. The total cost for the program for in-state students is $12,276.

What are the admissions requirements?

Students must submit an online application with the following information; 3 letters of reference, transcripts from all higher education institutions attended, GMAT score is optional (please see below), and resume.

A GMAT waiver may be granted for students who have fulfilled one of the following criteria; earned a 3.2 or higher undergraduate GPA, seven or more years of post-bachelor’s field experience, completion of a master’s or doctoral level degree from an accredited institution, or Possession of professional certifications with a quantitative focus, such as the CPA, CFA, FINRA, Six Sigma, etc.

If students don’t take the 2 MBA courses during their undergraduate degree and earn a 3.5 or higher GPA in those courses they will have to meet the following admission requirements; Students must submit an online application with the following information; 3 letters of reference, transcripts from all higher education institutions attended, GMAT score is optional (please see below), personal statement, and resume."
