Longwood sociology and anthropology majors engage in a variety of
activities outside the classroom, some directly related to academic
pursuits, some more social. These are important additions to the
educational experience at Longwood and are encouraged by faculty.
The Department has several student organizations created to promote student involvement in the disciplines of sociology and anthropology. These organizations also have both academic and social functions.
