Sociology and Anthropology
Student Organizations
Longwood sociology and anthropology majors engage in a variety of activities outside the classroom, some directly related to academic pursuits, some more social. These are important additions to the educational experience at Longwood and are encouraged by faculty.

The Department has several student organizations created to promote student involvement in the disciplines of sociology and anthropology. These organizations also have both academic and social functions.

The Sociology and Anthropology Club

Primtec
(Anthropology organization devoted to Paleolithic technology replication seminars)

Lambda Alpha Epsilon
(the national Criminal Justice fraternity)

Lambda Alpha
(National Collegiate Honor Society for Anthropology)

Alpha Kappa Delta
(the national honor society for sociology students)

Each student organization is being asked to develop a home page.  These will be made active as soon as they are available.
