Kelly Nelson earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from Michigan State University and a Master of Art Education as well as a Master of Fine Arts degree in printmaking at Eastern Michigan University. Her work has been shown locally, regionally, nationally and internationally and is housed in both private and public collections to include the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Eastern Michigan University and the Cite International des Arts in Paris, France. Her work has been exhibited in competitive exhibitions at Dundarave Print Workshop, (Vancouver, Canada), Limerick Printmakers, (Limerick, Ireland), Lahti Art Museum, (Finland) and Lessedra Gallery, (United Arab Emerites), among others. She completed a summer workshop in lithography at Tamarind Institute at the University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, NM) as well as completed an artist residency at the Cite International des Arts in Paris, France. She earned a diploma at Vilnius International Triennial of Small Graphic Forms, Lithuania. Kelly taught a SmartPlate workshop at Limerick Printmakers in Limerick, Ireland. She currently teaches art education, printmaking and drawing at Longwood University.
