Purpose

The Dean's Student Advisory Board provides on-going advice on student and academic issues and college operations to the Dean.

 

Mission

The Dean's Student Advisory Board aids in the continuous improvement of the College of Business and Economics in order to become the leading business school in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Board serves as a diverse intermediary between the students and the Dean to encourage the highest level of academic achievement, to facilitate decision-making, and to form a strong union between the students, faculty, and stakeholders. As an intermediary, the Board promotes the business school through the coordination of business school functions and community involvement.

 

Goals

  • To aid in the continuous improvement of the business college in all aspects of the college.
  • To act as a liaison between the students of the business school and the Dean to maintain the best academic environment, to form a strong union between the students, faculty, and stakeholders, and to raise the College of Business and Economics to the pinnacle of its potential.
  • To promote the business school through the coordination of functions, community activities, and involvements.
