Longwood’s Education Recruitment Day will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 in the Dorrill Dining Hall on the Longwood University Campus. You and/or your representative(s) will have the opportunity to meet and interview well-qualified candidates who will be licensed to teach during the 2009-2010 academic year. These candidates will be available the entire day to interview with you. The December 2008 graduates, other alumni and education majors from other Virginia colleges will also be invited to participate.
The day’s schedule is as follows:
9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Registration/Refreshments/Announcements
10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Information Fair
11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Individual Interviews
12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. Lunch
1:15 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Individual Interviews
Register early–space is limited! Until your payment is received, space cannot be guaranteed. There is a non-refundable registration fee for up to two representatives per school division, which will include refreshments, parking and lunch. Early Bird Registration Fee is $100 through February 13, 2009. After February 13th, the Registration Fee is $150. Additional representatives will be welcomed at a cost of $20 per person. Please return the registration form and check made payable to Longwood University (credit cards not accepted) to the Cashiering/Student Accounts Office. Please indicate on the Registration form if you require an invoice or have special needs such as electrical outlets, etc.
Confirmation will be sent upon receipt of Registration form and payment. Additional information will be sent the middle of February.
It is important that we have the names of the representatives who will be attending the Fair by February 20th for name tag purposes. Please let us know if your representatives are graduates of Longwood University so that we may recognize them.
