MINOR IN MUSIC  

The Minor in music is a program which requires the successful completion of 20 credits in music. Those credits are earned in theoretical studies, history and literature, applied study, and in music ensembles. Music 115 and Music 116 must be taken prior to or during the first year of applied study.

MUSC 115 Sightsinging and Dictation/1 credit  
MUSC 116 Sightsinging and Dictation/1 credit  
MUSC 137 Music Literature/3 credits  
MUSC 163 Beginning Piano I/1 credit  
MUSC 164  Beginning Piano II/1 credits (If applied area is piano, substitute 2 elective credits for this requirement.)
Applied Music: MUSC 171, 172, 271, 272/4 credits
