Three Longwood students were recently recognized for their service as volunteer tutors at the Longwood Center for Communication, Literacy, and Learning (LCCLL). Amanda Chandler, Madeline Vrba, and Lisa Robinson tutored on a weekly basis to help school-age clients improve reading and mathematics skills. Each tutor received a certificate of appreciation, a gift certificate to Teaching Tools, and an LCCLL t-shirt. Located at the corner of Third and Main Street in downtown Farmville (above the Daily Grind Coffee Shop), the LCCLL offers academic tutoring services year-round to the school-age students and adults. For more information call 434.395.2972.
