Online Speech-Language Pathology Master’s Pre-Requisites:
Scholarships
Through a grant from Virginia Department of Education,
tuition assistance will be available for qualified applicants. Applicants
must be currently employed in Virginia Public Schools. Each approved
applicant will pay a small portion of the tuition at $50 per credit hour.
Students approved for tuition assistance will pay full tuition the first
semester, then once the coursework is completed with a grade of B or better
that tuition (minus $50 per credit hour) will be credited to the student's account for future semester
coursework.
Students may not
receive/retain grant reimbursement
and/or tuition assistance from
multiple sources for the same
educational costs. If the
students' school division is
paying or reimbursing some portion
of the costs for the SLPonline
courses, the student CAN NOT have
that same amount reimbursed
through this grant.

-
Once the semester is
over and grades have been submitted,
approved applicants, who achieve a B or
better in the course(s), will have a
reimbursement submitted for them by
student accounts. It takes 10 days to 3
weeks for the reimbursement to move
through the state treasury before the
reimbursement check sent will be sent to
the student. The amount of the credit will
be the full tuition less $50 for a 1
credit hour course, $100 for a 2 credit
hour course, and $150 for a 3 credit hour
course.
-
As long as the applicant maintains a B or better in the
courses, it will not be necessary to re-apply
for assistance each semester. If a student fails to maintain a B or better, the applicant
is no longer eligible until he/she completes 2 courses with a B or better.
