Student Social Work Advisory Board
The student social work advisory
board is a five member board comprised of freshman (1), sophomore (1),
junior (1) and senior (2) social work majors. Nominations are made by
social work majors and elections occur at the first mandatory meeting
for social work majors, which is held in the fall semester of each
school year.
The purpose of the student
advisory board is to allow social work majors to have input as to
whether the mission, goals, and objectives of the Longwood University
Social Work program are clearly reflected throughout the program. In
addition, the student advisory board will have input in determining
whether the program prepares its students for effective practice to
meet the ever changing needs in society.
