Longwood CEHS: Alumni In the News
Congratulations to
Stephenia Muterspaugh,
a graduate of the CEHS Social Work program. She was featured in
the Richmond Times Dispatch’s “News About You” section on November 29,
2006 . Here's the excerpt from the article.
Stephenia
Muterspaugh, a social-studies teacher at Richmond's Adult Career
Development Center, has been selected the city school system's 2007
Teacher of the Year. Muterspaugh, a graduate of Longwood University, has
taught six years at the adult-education center in Jackson Ward. She
received $1,000.
Ms. Anna Marie Baker, Class of 1970, was a
2004 recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Award for Virginia Colleges
and Universities of the Outstanding Faculty Award for Virginia Colleges.
Ms. Baker is an Associate Professor & Early Childhood Development
Program Head at Tidewater Community College, Portsmouth Campus,
Portsmouth, VA.

spring at the
"Professionals Who Made a Difference Banquet" This awards banquet
held on May 11, 2006, honored
professionals in the disciplines of our College of Education and Human
Services who have made a difference in their professional fields. By
honoring their contributions, we are reminded of our past and charged
to action as a single college unit in an effort to move from “Good to
