The Department of Social Work and
Communication Sciences and Disorders provides both undergraduate
and graduate degrees. The Program in Social Work provides an
undergraduate course of study of unique and personalized
instruction accredited by the Council on Social Work Education,
leading to the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Social
Work. Program graduates frequently pursue advanced study in
graduate schools and may be eligible for admission into advanced
standing one-year M.S.W. degree programs. The
Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders program is a pre-professional
program that provides academic training in the normal processes
of speech, language, hearing, and their associated pathologies
and provides the foundation for a master's degree in
speech-language pathology or audiology. The department offers
