Since Clean Virginia Waterways was founded in 1995, this annual volunteer event has kept nearly 5 MILLION pounds of litter and plastic pollution out of our ocean because of your dedication.

Harpers Square Cluster volunteers will have a cleanup on Labor day -- kids are encouraged to participate with their parents! Trash bags will be provided. Bring gloves and wear boots or solid shoes, long pants, and long sleeves and apply bug repellent if you are typically bothered by insects. Please don’t forget your face masks! Safety is always our number one priority and we will be practicing social distancing during the cleanup. Participants will be asked to keep a log of the types of trash they encounter and collect using the Clean Swell app. More details will be provided during our 9am briefing but if you want to get a jump start on this just search the app store for the “Clean Swell” app, install it, and sign-in/register. When prompted for a group name please enter “Harpers Square Cluster.” |

Harpers Square Cluster volunteers will have a cleanup on Labor day -- kids are encouraged to participate with their parents! Trash bags will be provided. Bring gloves and wear boots or solid shoes, long pants, and long sleeves and apply bug repellent if you are typically bothered by insects. Please don’t forget your face masks! Safety is always our number one priority and we will be practicing social distancing during the cleanup. Participants will be asked to keep a log of the types of trash they encounter and collect using the Clean Swell app. More details will be provided during our 9am briefing but if you want to get a jump start on this just search the app store for the “Clean Swell” app, install it, and sign-in/register. When prompted for a group name please enter “Harpers Square Cluster.” |
