There are many Intl Coastal Cleanup events in Arlington and Alexandria, including cleanups at the following National Park Service parks along the Potomac River: Daingerfield Island Park, and T. Roosevelt Island in Arlington; Belle Haven, Dyke Marsh, and Riverside Park in Alexandria. Click here for a map showing these parks.Daingerfield Island Park & Marina, Natl Park Service. This park is located on an island in the Potomac River, and is between Reagan National Airport and Old Town Alexandria, off of the George Washington Memorial Parkway. So, to reach this ICC cleanup site, you must be in northern Virginia, on the George Washington Memorial Parkway. You can turn into this park's driveway and parking lot no matter if you are driving north or south on the Parkway. Map can be found on the NPS web site. Plenty of parking and trash!

Cleanup Site: James River Park in Richmond. We will be cleaning Ancarrows Landing, the easternmost segment of the James River Park System in Richmond. The site is located at the end of Maury St. just beyond the Wastewater Treatment Plant. (Directions: Take the Maury Street Exit off I-95 and follow the signs that begin at the bottom of the ramp which will have you turn right, and follow to the end of the road).
