Longwood’s coaching minor teaches the skills necessary to be a team leader in any sport. A minor in coaching pairs well with many other majors, particularly liberal studies and a teaching certification, and enables teachers to coach a sport. Opportunities for certification by the American Sport Education Program and the Virginia High School League are provided in the classroom.
