Have I met all graduation requirements?

What time do I need to arrive, and where do I go?
All degree candidates (Undergraduates & Masters candidates) report to Willett Hall Gymnasium with academic regalia by 8 a.m. to line up (includes College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Economics, College of Education and Human Services, and Graduate Studies). -
What kind of academic regalia will I need?

What do I wear under my robe?
Men should wear dark shoes and trousers. Women should wear dark shoes and skirts no longer than their gown. Don't wear bright colors on top that will detract from your hood. -

Will there be a Professional Photographer?
During Commencement, a professional photographer will take a picture of each graduate receiving his/her diploma. Chappell Studios will send you information and prices prior to commencement. Questions? Please contact Chappell Studios directly at 800-247-3435. -
How do I arrange for special accommodations (handicapped needs, etc.) for myself or a guest?

How many guests am I allowed to invite?
There is no limit on the guests each graduate may have. -
Can I bring my pet?
Only registered service animals are permitted. With the number of visitors on campus, we do not allow pets.

Is Shuttle Service provided?
Free shuttle service will be provided from several nearby hotels and apartment complexes to campus and back. Buses will run from 7:45 a.m.-9:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. respectively and will be provided at the following locations: Longwood Village, Comfort Inn, Days Inn, Super 8, Sunchase, Hampton Inn, and Lancer Park. -
How many guests is each Graduate allowed?
There is no limit on the guests each graduate may have. -
Where do I park?
Parking is available throughout the campus at any open campus parking lot. If you need handicapped parking, please contact Disability Support Services, 434.395.2391 or rentschlermg@longwood.edu by April 17. -
Where is Wheeler Mall?
Please download our printable campus map (pdf). Wheeler Mall is the grassy area in front of Wheeler residence hall (#17 on the map). -
What time do I need to arrive?
Guests need to arrive early and be seated by 9:00 a.m. as the processional begins at approximately 9:15. -
Where do I find restrooms during the Ceremony?
Some of the buildings on campus will be open for use of facilities. Port-o-potties are also available near Wheeler Mall. Please look for the directional signs posted on Wheeler Mall. -
Can I bring my pet?
