Commencement Guest Housing

If you plan to stay on campus, you have two options:

Staying with Your Graduate

On Friday, May 19, 2017 graduating residential students may house up to two family members, free of charge, in their assigned residence hall room.

  • Additional furnishings cannot be provided.
  • Residents are encouraged to discuss this with applicable roommates and suitemates to avoid conflicts.
  • Attention Longwood Apartment Residents: Unoccupied bedrooms will be locked and may not be used for guest accommodations. Residents must vacate their assigned room/apartment in accordance with the published RCL spring closing expectations.

GRADUATING RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS MAY REMAIN IN THEIR LONGWOOD MANAGED HOUSING THE WEEK PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT.

  • The Registrar's Office provides a list of all residential May graduates to RCL.  Graduates may stay in their residence until May 20 and will not need to "register to stay" to remain in Longwood managed accommodations. More specific closing expectations will be communicated by RCL.
  • The extended housing arrangement with Longwood University is for your personal accommodation only.  Graduates are permitted up to two guests the night prior to Commencement.
