The LCVA is the art museum for Longwood University and South Central Virginia. Since 1994 the LCVA has been located on the corner of Third and Main Streets in downtown Farmville (the former home to a Roses Department Store). Most of the operating systems were original to the 1969 structure. During 2002 the LCVA raised funds to support phase I renovation from a variety of constituents. In 2003 Glavé and Holmes developed a facilities master plan.
