9-8-03 Ruffner's Rotunda Dome Set Into Place
After a slight delay, a large crowd of Longwood faculty staff, students, and friends watched as a large crane lifted the Rotunda back up on top of Main Ruffner Hall. Cheers arose from the crowd as dome was set into place, marking one of the highlights of the post fire reconstruction.
8/26/03 Ruffner Dome is Readied: The skeleton framework for the new dome for the Rotunda is being assembled today by English Construction on site in front of the Ruffners. The plan calls for a tentative date of September 5 for a topping off ceremony during which the framework will be hoisted atop Main Ruffner via a crane.

Assembled dome that will form the
Rotunda.
12/12/02 - Longwood held the official groundbreaking ceremony for the Ruffner complex. More information here.
