The first step in burying the communications lines on Pine Street was completed recently as workers dug a tunnel underneath the street with a directional boring machine. The machine creates a small tunnel the length of the street (over 400 ft. for the first section) and then a large orange PVC conduit is pulled through the tunnel. The conduit will eventually house the power lines once the project is completed.
