Hurricane Sandy

Due to severe weather conditions associated with Hurricane Sandy, Longwood University will close at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, and reopen at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30. Classes and all scheduled activities will be cancelled during that time; 11 a.m. classes will meet on Tuesday. Essential personnel are expected to remain at their work locations as scheduled.
Remaining open on Monday, Oct. 29, are the following:
Student Union: Open until midnight
Dorrill Dining Hall: Open until 8 p.m.
Health and Fitness Center: Open until 10 p.m.
Greenwood Library: Open until 10 p.m.
Opening times for these facilities on Tuesday, Oct. 30, are the following:
Student Union: Opening at 9 a.m.
Dorrill Dining Hall: Opening at 7 a.m.
Health and Fitness Center: Opening at 9 a.m.
Greenwood Library: Opening at 9 a.m.
Anyone who would be required to travel to and from campus should exercise caution. Do not put yourself at risk if weather conditions make travel hazardous.
