Lindsay began her career working with at-risk youth with learning and behavioral disabilities in Lynchburg, Virginia. From there, she worked for many years in VCU’s Department of Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology as a psychometrist and research associate, providing comprehensive evaluation services, as well as co-publishing vocational interventions, for patients coping with brain injury and other neurological disorders. Additionally, Lindsay served the Richmond community as a therapist for VCU's Center for Psychological Services and Development, providing individual counseling services for individuals with a variety of emotional disabilities. As an area native, Lindsay came home to Farmville by joining the Longwood family in January 2012. She is committed to increasing the inclusivity of the Lancer culture and helping students with disabilities to be strong self-advocates. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her husband and son, as well as teaching group fitness classes in the local communities.

For seventeen years, Dana taught children with every type of disability at the elementary, middle and high school levels, serving students in the classroom and serving each school in leadership roles.  In 2013 Dana returned to home to Longwood University to broaden her experiences and empower those challenging themselves at the post-secondary level.  She is unwavering in her focus on helping Longwood students become self-advocates that find solutions to obstacles, never stop learning, and develop their own sense of service to others as strong citizen leaders.  In her spare time Dana likes to spend time with her husband and two sons traveling, camping and supporting local theater.

Cam began work with the Office of Disability Resources in June 2011. Prior to Longwood Cam worked in the Office of Person Center Support at Central Virginia Training Center, Lynchburg VA. In his role with Disability Resources Cam coordinates the test proctoring services, alternate format resources, and assistive technology. He also assist with a number of program, budgtary, and operational needs related to the office. Cam is committed to helping students become successful self-advocates and providing resources that to help students access their educational environment.


Student Resource Team: 2016-2017

Disability Resources employs talented student employees who assist with a wide range of office operations. They help with testing services, alternate format, and administrative office tasks. Many of our student assistants are also campus leaders who serve the LWU community in a variety of different roles.
