Longwood Center for Communication, Literacy and Learning (LCCLL)

The Longwood Center for Communication, Literacy, and Learning (LCCLL) and the Office of Disability Resources recognize that resources beyond reasonable accommodations can be helpful in a student reaching his or her communication goals.  Students who are interested in receiving local therapy services for communication difficulties can contact the Longwood Center for Communication, Literacy, and Learning. The Longwood Center for Communication, Literacy and Learning can assist individuals with communication difficulties related to the following:

  • Accent Modifications
  • Articulation Disorders
  • Language Learning Disorders
  • Voice Disorders
  • Stuttering
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Hearing Loss
  • Swallowing Problems
  • Autism

 

Services Available

  • Educational Evaluations
  • Therapy for articulation, stuttering, voice, or language disorders
  • Communication strategies for individuals with hearing loss or utilize hearing aids
  • Learning Strategies for students with Language based disabilities

 

Referral and Payment

Students interested in discussing the services and resources of the center should contact the Clinical Director, Gayle Daly at dalygh@longwood.edu. All assessments and therapy services provided by the Longwood Center for Communication, Literacy and Learning have a cost. Insurance may cover services.  A sliding fee scale is available for those who qualify. The center secretary assists clients in making financial arrangements for payment.
