Confidentially of Student Records

1.  Confidential information,  medical or academic records, is considered privileged information and cannot be released without the student's written authorization.  Confidentiality is to be broken only if the student  poses a danger to self or others.   Confidentiality includes not releasing information regarding a student's presence in the Center.

2.  Those employees with access to medical and academic information shall respect the doctrine of confidentiality and not divulge any information unless they are authorized to do so by the student.

3.  The release of information requires the student's written authorization.

4.  Authorizations are NOT REQUIRED for release of information to emergency personnel responding to a situation or a life threatening situation.
