Disability-based housing accommodations To request accommodation on the basis of a disability, you must first register with the Office of Disability Services. Once registration is complete, students work with the Disability Services Office to request and arrange accommodations in housing, academic coursework, educational programming, or other areas as needed. Housing Accommodation process: 1. Register with Disability Services. Here’s how: (Follow the link below) http://www.longwood.edu/disability/DSS_Services.htm 2. Fill out a Disability Related Housing Request Form and submit to Disability Services 3. You will be notified by e-mail from the Disability Services office about the outcome of your accommodation request within 7-10 business days of receipt of your complete Housing Request Form. 4. You will receive your housing assignment from the Residential and Commuter Life office. Housing Request Form Due Dates Returning students: Tuesday, March 17, 2009 Freshmen and transfer students: Thursday, June 11, 2009 Because housing accommodations are contingent on availability, accommodation requests made after the above due dates are not guaranteed.
